The Soni family have been making fine designer jewellery for generations now. The very name Soni means goldsmith in our mother tongue. A family tradition dating back to our roots in India, every son has served his apprenticeship abroad, before taking on the responsibility of each new era.

Even today, in a world of mass manufactured products, each of our designs bear the individual flair and creativity of the craftsman. We see this as an integral component of our production process and responsibility towards you, our clients.

RASIK JEWELLERS began operations in August 1968, under the management of Mr. A.V. Soni. The initial outlet was a retail store in Durban’s Victoria Street, with manufacturing facilities housed directly above it.

In 1974, Mr. A.V Soni’s eldest son, Karan Soni, served his traditional apprenticeship in jewellery design and manufacture abroad, before returning to join the family business and propel it into the new era.

Today, RASIK JEWELLERS represents the culmination of these many years and generations of tradition. Being a part of the community, the brand has expanded operations in and around Johannesburg, to include, amongst others, the largest showroom of Indian designer jewellery in Gauteng, and our newest showroom, based in the richest square mile in Africa, Sandton City.

Whilst the craftsmen at RASIK JEWELLERS have developed unique and sought after creations for the Indian market, our pieces are manufactured to cater for a wide variety of styles and tastes.

Indeed, we at RASIK JEWELLERS believe that a commitment to quality and service is a bad idea – if it remains a mere idea. We give it teeth by constantly evaluating our value offering and actively striving to enhance it.
